Tata Trusts have been involved with Antara Foundation since March 2015. Along with the Govt of Rajasthan, we run a program called Akshada aimed at improving maternal and child health outcomes in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar and Baran districts and focusing on the critical ‘1000 days’ between conception and age two.
Tata Trusts have truly been enlightened donors and share our vision for a healthier Rajasthan. They are India’s foremost philanthropic institution and have made invaluable contributions to nation building. The Trusts support and drive innovation in areas such as natural resources management, education, healthcare and nutrition, rural livelihoods, among others. They have been working in Rajasthan since 2003, covering a cross section of development challenges.
Bajaj Auto’s CSR division works with us on our newest program, Aayushi, in Sikar District’s Dhod Block. The program aims to reduce under-five child mortality by implementing our model of bringing in innovative, low-cost, scalable innovations to healthcare in partnership with the government system.
Bajaj Auto has undertaken various philanthropic activities and social work through its corporate and non-corporate entities, besides providing financial support to such causes. Bajaj plays a prominent role in such activities through its range of community development endeavours. Bajaj’s CSR areas include education, health, women empowerment, self-reliance, rural development, and environment & natural resources. Our journey together has been productive and enriching and we look forward to a healthier Dhod.
The India Nutrition Initiative (TINI) was created by Tata Trusts with a panel of leading experts to develop and advocate an informed stand on policy relating to nutrition. TINI supports scaling up of the AAA platform to five districts in Rajasthan under the 'Rajsangam' banner.
The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) worked with us on Ayana, a program aimed at improving saliency of nutrition in Rajasthan. Under the aegis of this program, several events such as a nutrition symposium and CSR summit were convened to educate key stakeholders on the importance of nutrition.
CIFF is the world’s largest philanthropy that focuses specifically on improving children’s lives. CIFF works with a range of partners to transform the lives of vulnerable children and adolescents in developing countries. The foundation’s areas of work include improving children and adolescents’ health, nutrition, education, deworming and welfare, and smart ways to slow down and stop climate change.
Addressing malnutrition is a key initiative in the Tata Trusts which is being personally monitored by our Chairman, Mr. Ratan Tata. The Akshada Program and the AAA platform is an important innovation in addressing the malnutrition challenge and we are proud to partner with Ashok Alexander and the Antara Foundation in taking this program to scale in Rajasthan and beyond.
