Anugami, which in Sanskrit means “someone who tracks and follows,” is TAF’s response to a major challenge in public health—information and coordination gaps that occur during the most critical window of risk, from the third trimester to the postpartum period.
From January to March 2025, TAF ran a pilot with government consent, tracking 286 pregnant women in their third trimesters through intrapartum and postpartum stages of pregnancy. The pilot documented the extent and nature of information and coordination gaps that exist across the system.
In partnership with IIT Mumbai, Anugami is building a tech-enabled workflow system that integrates frontline workers, ambulance services, and facilities to ensure real-time tracking, nudging, and care coordination. Key features include:
A unified digital platform overlaying existing government systems
Automated case management and nudges for timely action
Real-time “war room” monitoring for high-risk cases
