Our Program Officers – Training and Implementation each manage a block comprising 100-150 villages. They implement TAF programs across the block, working with frontline workers, community leaders, block health officials, and other stakeholders. Our Program Officers – Nurse Mentoring and Capacity Building, are nursing professionals with significant technical and practical experience in maternal, newborn and child health. They adopt five public health facilities each based on the delivery load and other key maternal and newborn health indicators and train the staff nurses to bridge gaps in critical knowledge and skills. They also work towards facility readiness for providing quality services.

The Antara Foundation Fellowship is one of the most rigorous and experiential Fellowship programs in the development sector. This 12-month program attracts some of India’s brightest young professionals. Based on an experiential learning pedagogy, TAF’s Fellowship encourages fellows to engage with previous experience and incorporate it into new observations, which enables them to experiment. This is a unique and immersive experience to work at the grassroots and help improve maternal and child health in rural India.
